miss b loves.......... Easter treats

Easter is the time for sweet treats - the sweeter the better for me! Why does chocolate seem to taste even better when it's egg-shaped?.........

I found these cute Easter-themed cupcakes at Hey Little Cupcake Cupcakery and Tea Room in Manchester on Easter Saturday. Delicious flavours and amazingly light texture....maybe I should try one of their classes!

 vanilla custard centre

Creme Egg cupcake-
so creative!
Of course Easter would not be complete without a bowl of Cadbury Mini Eggs - once you eat one you just can't stop........

We always eat hot cross buns (delicious toasted) on Good Friday and continue throughout the weekend! This year I heard that Heston Blumenthal had created his own variation - Earl Grey and mandarin (a perfect combination!) so off we went to the nearest Waitrose supermarket to stock up.....and they certainly exceeded all expectations!

Lindt milk chocolate is another favourite and buying a few little gold bunnies has now become an Easter tradition in our house......

Imagine my surprise on Good Friday when I saw this giant gold bunny outside Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet.

and finally .....this video made me smile......

                                        Happy Easter!

  3. I got one of those Green & Blacks eggs, I ate half yesterday and I'm so tempted by the other half right now! I don't like hot cross buns but bought some of the Heston Blumenthal ones as my family were visiting, they really liked them.

  16. Ahhhh, hot cross buns are my favorite. They remind me of my dad. He passed away over 20 years ago, and I always remember him loving hot cross buns. I wish I had one to go with my tea right now. I am with you on the chocolate. I enjoy it so much, especially Lindt.
