miss b loves.....the key spring/summer 2012 trends

  • Sugared almond pastels
The shops are now full of pretty pastel tones - sorbet, ice cream, dolly mixture colours. Mint, peach, sherbet lemon, pistachio, lilac and pink.... in delicate, lightweight fabrics...silk, chiffon and lace....It's probably the most dominant summer trend (and my favourite!)

Miss Selfridge

Miss KG nude ballet flats
Neutral accessories in ivory, cream, taupe and black look stunning paired with pastel dresses and jeans whilst pastel shoes instantly update neutral trousers.

  • Brights
It's all about intense hits of bright colour too. Statement- making colours include fuschia pink, yellow, tangerine, cobalt blue, violet, and red. Choose accessories in these colours if you prefer not to be overwhelmed by vibrant colour.

  • Prints
Big, bold florals and paisleys are a huge trend this season in addition to tropical prints, marine-inspired designs, geometric and retro patterns with symmetry. If you're not yet ready for floral jeans and clashing prints then a great way to incorporate this trend into your wardrobe is with an accessory.

Ted Baker Printed Clutch

  • '20s inspired
Great Gatsby style.... flapper drop-waisted dresses with  fringing, sequins, beads and feathers!
Biba 1920's style dress
and finally.....

Micro trends - little fashion details that make a difference................
  • Tribal with ethnic beading, raffia, wicker, woven leather and armfuls of colourful bangles......
 Coast Weave Bag

  • Cuffs and pearls
Cuff bracelets and oversized rings continue to be a firm trend with ladylike strings of pearls adding glamour to fifties' style dresses and cardigans.

bobochic seashell pearls

  • The Wedge
Fabulously glamorous yet still super-comfortable .......animal print, raffia, floral, pastel......so much choice.....

Nine West

  • Lace and pleats
Any colour goes when it comes to lace this season.......Orange is not yet in my wardrobe but I think it might be making an appearance very soon.......
