miss b loves.........Waterlogue travel pictures

I have a new crush, obsession which I'm sure many of you are already familiar with, as everyone seems to be talking about it ... Waterlogue. This clever little app transforms your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch photos into beautiful watercolour versions in minutes!

Just select the chosen photo from your camera roll or take a new one and wait for the magic to happen ..... watch the 'sketching' then the 'painting' process ......it's fascinating!

I decided to start with a few of my favourite travel photos(Click on the caption to read the post and see my original photo)

Before

After

Nan Lian Gardens, Hong Kong

It's such a fun thing to play around with and so very easy! There are twelve preset effects to choose from but generally I prefer the 'natural' one. You can also select how light or dark you would like the 'painting'

Hanoi, Vietnam

La Tour Eiffel, Paris

The Burj Khalifa, Dubai

Skyline, Doha, Qatar

Blue Mosque, Istanbul

The Chedi Hotel, Muscat, Oman

.....and finally a little closer to home. A photo taken during a recent visit to London....

Before
After

Waterlogue really captures the essence of the photo but in an artistic way and I may just think about printing a couple of favourites.

I'm sure I could easily become addicted to this!

Check it out here

  4. I read about Waterlogue, and thanks to your post, I'll finally give it a try. It reminds me of my school projects when we painted with watercolour and used pieces of eggshell for mosaic. Ah..those days. The prints are perfect for self-made greeting cards and prints for framing :)

  22. Well I must say, you've certainly got enough beautiful photos to choose from, that's for sure. I'm glad you found this app, I didn't know about it before so thanks for introducing it to us. I guess it's probably better for sites and landscapes rather than portrait human shots but if there are different settings I guess you can tweak it to suit the photo you want to play around with. These would be nice to frame as well.

    Have a lovely weekend x
