Jubilee spirit was certainly sweeping the country last weekend and there was an invasion of all things British.... everything red, white and blue from the cheap and cheerful to the quirky, cute and stylish! Here are a few of my Jubilee favourites..........
I love this visual interpretation of London which I have my eye on at nickprints (there's a New York one too!) The detailed print includes all things related to London.....its architecture, people, everyday life...........
I'm sure I would never tire of looking at the amazing detail in this print!
One of my favourite window displays at Macmillans, our local gift shop...
There was even a Union Jack on my hot chocolate at Pret A Manger in Selfridges...
Jubilee packaging for everyday British favourites.......
....with a temporary name change for some.........
and here's a glimpse of our own Jubilee celebration tea with bunting, of course.....
quirky serviettes.....
vanilla cupcakes.....
a Jubilee scene which we created on top of our Victoria sandwich cake .........
and there just had to be Champagne and chocolates...........
One of the highlights of the long weekend was the concert in front of Buckingham Palace (which we watched on TV) ...an eclectic range of music from stars including Kylie, Stevie Wonder, Robbie Williams, Shirley Bassey...and an amazing fireworks finale......
Congratulations to Queen Elizabeth II on her 60 year reign!
What a fun post miss b. England has shown the world how to throw a party - and a celebration - this month! Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

ReplyDeleteJubilee in UK is like EURO for Pole - everything is 'Euro' -> 'Euro 2012 cake', 'Euro 2012 dress', 'Euro 2012 tea' <3
