Last weekend the Olympic Torch Relay passed through our area of Lancashire as part of the 8000 mile, 63 day journey through more than 1000 cities, towns and villages across the UK. (It will have travelled to within an hour of 95% of the people of the UK, Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey!)The journey began in Land's End and 8000 inspirational people have been nominated to carry the torch.
We all waited patiently but even a rain shower didn't dampen our spirits.......
This little boy had the best view on his Daddy's shoulders and had his own cute torch!
Finally the torchbearer Moira Kelly appeared and had her 'moment to shine'.....
and I'm even more excited as our Olympic tickets for the football have just arrived in the post!
When I was in Greece David Beckham was there carrying the torch:)

You know, I am a big fan of football, as my son played for many years. It was such a fun sport to watch. I hope you are having a nice summer. It's pretty hot here today in California.
