I'm sure everyone knows that macarons are one of my favourite treats. I mentioned the delicious ones at Chocolat Chic café here.
and of course I'm a fan of Ladurée (even their website is cute) I even managed to find a branch in Dubai...
and in Bebek, Istanbul......
I like just about every flavour but my favourites are pistachio, vanilla and raspberry.
I've recently received some gorgeous macaron related gifts......the wonderful Ladurée:Sucré The Recipes book. It's so luxurious with its velvety cover, mouthwatering recipes and images...
My new, cute and very useful shopping bag.......
and there were even macarons on one of my birthday cards last month.
I had already bought 'Mad about Macarons' which includes step by step instructions.
It's worth buying just for the amazing illustrations!
So I suppose there's no excuse...I shall have to have a go at making my own (even though I know this is going to be tricky) I'll report back with photos when I make a successful batch. Until then I shall just look forward to my next trip to London although I've just heard about a café much closer to home and it's called Macaroon so I must go and investigate.....
Macarons are so great because you eat them with your eyes first and then savor their actual taste.
ReplyDeleteThis recipe book is so luxurious, I'd love to take a look at it page by page.
What I like most, though, is your bag! So cute!

They sell Laduree items on eBay, but of course they're tripling the price. I just admire from afar. HaHa Love your macaron bag! So cute. Hope all is well. Have a delightful weekend! ((HUG))

Oh my, are these as good as they look? You know, I wanted to order some of these for Nel's wedding shower, but I have no idea where to get them. She's having a Paris theme, and I thought they would go perfect. That is so wonderful that you are going to try and make them. Please do show us how they turn out when you do. The pink ones look so delightful.
