The Dubai Metro is driverless and the world's longest fully automated metro network - 75kms. Most of the metro is elevated and provides amazing views of Dubai's spectacular skyscraper architecture.
The metro station architects, Aedas were asked to design an innovative, iconic structure reflecting Dubai's ancient traditions and finally agreed on a beautiful shell form inspired by the diving and pearl fishing heritage which led to Dubai's early prosperity. The roofs of all the stations are an illuminescent shell.............
