Easter is always one of my favourite times of the year with so many treats to satisfy my sweet tooth...... Cute cupcakes from our local Broadway Pantry....
Easter biscuit at Carluccio's Egg-shaped macaron from Selfridges Food Hall Ginger and acacia honey hot cross bun from Waitrose |
It's not really a tradition to decorate our home for Easter but it was hard to resist a simple white Easter tree at John Lewis and a few clear glass feather baubles just added a little spring colour too ...
So much chocolate ....not all mine of course!
What a pretty nest !
.....and a couple of gifts from Germany and The Netherlands. We've all been spoilt!
Easter was particularly special this year as we were guests at a beautiful wedding on Easter Sunday .... It took a while to choose an outfit as the weather can be so unpredictable but the final decision was a navy and ivory floral lace overlay dress from Reiss and a fascinator with just a touch of sparkle .......
Easter Monday began with an Easter Egg hunt around the house.......and the last clue lead to the Lindt gold bunny ......
There it was hiding in a box of chocolates!
Our long weekend ended with a trip to Manchester. Everyone was taking advantage of a warm Easter Monday, sitting outside The Old Wellington Inn, originally built in 1552. It's the oldest building of its kind in the city and has an interesting history
We enjoyed a light lunch at Harvey Nichols ....
.......and then I spotted a very interesting Easter egg ....displaying a rather glamorous Louboutin shoe....
and finally ..........

I hope you too had a very Happy Easter!

ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely Easter!
ReplyDeleteWith so much chocolate, Easter is always a great time of year! I love those feather baubles, what a beautiful idea.

I know, this Easter Sunday involved too much eating especially those chocolates. The cupcakes look so pretty and delicious. I would like that Louboutin Easter egg too. Happy Easter Miss B.
ReplyDeleteI love your white tree and those baubles with the feathers are amazing!! Looks like you had a lovely Easter:)

Miss B, I can straight tell you, you had a great Easter weekend. How many treats, you definitely have been super spoiled!:) The trip to Manchester sounds so nice, the lunch looks very delicious. How gorgeous are the Louboutin displayed in the egg!:) Have a lovely weekend ahead! xo
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a nice Easter at home. The egg hunting tradition is very interesting to me as we don't do this here. I really love chocolate eggs but I don't like the result after that. Manchester looks nice!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fab Easter. I love the little Easter tree. Such a good idea. x
ReplyDeleteYour Easter looks so wonderful! Thank you for the photos! x
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of eggs miss b! I love the fact that your house was Easter festive. I don't celebrate it but I look forward to the break. The Mr said he wishes we have more Easter break than Christmas break as it's warmer, so you can enjoy the short break without all the hassle of the winter and the stressful holiday prep. I chuckled when I read the card :) I remember sitting outside the Old Wellington Inn in Manchester ages ago. Thank you for your sharing. Pop in to Lakwatsa in Nottting Hill when you get the chance :)
ReplyDeleteA good idea to have a longer break at Easter when the weather is better and I enjoy it as it's much easier to buy chocolate eggs compared to all the gift buying and wrapping at Christmas. As soon as I read about Lakwatsa on your blog I knew it was somewhere we would have to visit - hopefully next time we are in London.
DeleteI've decided to hop on over to your place next year for Easter! ;) Those cupcakes ..yum! and all that chocolate! I like your little Easter tree. I've never seen anything like that! xxleslie
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely stylish Easter! gorgeous cupcakes!
ReplyDeleteMary
Oh, look at all these goodies! I have a sweet tooth too, and I enjoyed seeing all the different desserts, especially from Germany and the Netherlands. I smiled when I saw the hot cross buns, as they were my dad's favorite. I haven't had one in awhile, and now I must try some again. Manchester looks so charming with the streets and old buildings.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like Lindt chocolates, is there? They are my son's favorite. I hope you had a lovely Easter. You are a special blog friend to me.
love,
~Sheri
Sounds like a wonderful Easter. Those egg shaped macaroons are too cute and I love your feather ornaments. That Easter egg Louboutin display is so neat.

It sure looks and sounds like you had an amazingly fun Easter weekend! Love your Easter tree! I once saw a mini car in the shape of the Lindt gold bunny. It was the cutest thing :)

Your easter travels and food sounds divine! I have been craving cupcakes myself lately as I tried to stay away from the easter candy and am recovering from a sugar high--yet chocolate always looks delicious in person and in photos, ha!

Sounds like you had a very fulfilling Easter. I enjoyed time with the family - mum made Easter dinner for 6 of us. I'm not keen on Easter egg chocolate but I did make my way through a box of Ferrero Rocher. Love the Louboutin display and love the idea of the decorations - you truly embraced it. I tend to embrace mum's cooking and the break from work a little more ooops!
ReplyDeleteLove an Easter egg hunt! that big decorated egg cookie looks so cute. Almost to pretty to eat. Hope you had a good one x
ReplyDeleteThe cupcakes and your Easter decoration look great! Very tasteful. I also like the Lindt Easter bunnies... unfortunately I didn't have one this year.
ReplyDeleteOh the tree is just gorgeous . I do decorate with coloured eggs and I have a birch wreath with coloured eggs for the front door sounds awful but is nice
ReplyDeleteYour Easter looked wonderful and so pleased you had good weather (photos made me a little homesick). The Lindt bunny has always been my favourite and with our car accident, we sort of skipped Easter this year. I am just about to send my husband out to the shops to buy me one!
ReplyDeleteAh, you show Lindt chocolate here - this is my favourite brand of chocolate :) And during I watched your wonderful Easter pictures I got a bit sad that Easter is already over ...
