The ultra-chic Voda Bar |
The new Ottoman-themed Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel is located on the west cescent of Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. Its interior is lavish, influenced by Topkapi Palace in Istanbul with extravagent chandeliers and colourful artwork and marble but the purpose of our recent visit was to enjoy the ultra-chic surroundings of the Voda Bar, located on the ground level of the hotel.

This sophisticated bar just oozes style with the futuristic, white minimalist interior setting, sixties-style egg chairs and white sofas.

I'm a gin and tonic fan (Tanqueray, Bombay Sapphire, Hendrick's preferably!) and gin-based cocktails are often my first choice. So....my next cocktail challenge is to recreate the Gin Gin Mule.....should be fun trying to get those measures just right!
miss b recommends:
- the Gin Gin Mule
- cheerful hours - 2 for 1 on selected house drinks Sunday to Thursday 7pm-9pm
- ladies night - free drinks for ladies on Tuesday 9pm-midnight
Thanks for stopping by chez moi! ;-) I would love to try these fabulous cocktails but am afraid the Voda Bar is too far from my little corner of the world! Sigh. Good luck with the recipe. Do share the results when you get it exactly right ;-) Veronique

The Gin-Gin Mule is actually invented by Audrey Saunders [Pegu Club NYC] - just a hint for you to get the recipe right...
ReplyDeleteOtherwise you just need to come back to the marvelous hotel, and I am sure, that somebody from the bar [maybe you should explore also the more traditional, yet as breathtaking CClub, the other bar of the hotel], where somebody could tell you the recipe and other trade secrets...
Thanks, Dominik, for the information about the Gin-Gin Mule - very helpful. I'll certainly visit the CClub, too, on my next visit and maybe learn a few trade secrets!
ReplyDeleteI love the ultra chic voda bar. Chic kiss
