Decorating for Christmas is all part of the festivities and this year like last, the lounge has a classic deep red and gold theme .........
It's always good to bring out those favourite little items which hold special memories .....and remind us of all Christmases past... but every year more paint peels off the Father Christmas Babushka dolls!
The wooden crib scene, which we brought back from a trip to Bethlehem several years ago, is always the last one to be hung on the tree ....it's somehow become a tradition!
Elsewhere, it's a brighter, more modern look...
A quirky Father Christmas ... I was instantly attracted to his neutral outfit!
Cute new plates to serve mince pies ........
We always listen to Christmas carols and songs as we decorate the house....another tradition!
...and finally ... I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! A huge thank you too for visiting my blog this year. I love to read your comments and it's the positive feedback which really makes writing the posts so worthwhile. So many of you lead busy lives and yet you still find time to pop over here!
I'm taking a break for a couple of weeks but I look forward to 'seeing' you again in January 2014 ........
Merry Christmas to you all! |

These are great! I do a mix on my tree as well of hallmark ornaments, vintage, and homemade. I didn't put up my big tree this year due to my Mom being ill all year, but we have smaller ones which we keep up all year that are great. I love all the decorations that have meaning to them. My Mom made many ceramic items which we take out each year. It has been so great meeting you through blogging and I wish you the best Christmas in 2013!!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Merry and joyful Christmas time!
