I was immediately impressed with the cute menus featuring boutique cupcakes......and luxury cupcakes........
Familiar and well-known flavours were there but it was good to see the use of local ingredients too.......dates, saffron, pistachio and rosewater (a cupcake called A Kiss from a Rose!)
Strawberries and Cream....their take on Victoria sponge.....
Cookies and Cream...........
and Pistachio Passion....
........and we weren't disappointed .......cupcakes which tasted as good as they looked (which isn't always the case!) They even cater for special dietary requirements including Diabetic Dream, Choco Vegan and Guiltless Chocolate!
Stylish décor.....
and they do take-away....these pretty little shoe labels caught my eye......
P.S. We didn't eat two cupcakes each.....there were four of us...........honestly!
Finally.......
I would like to thank Pamela from The Style and Travel Journals for nominating me for another **Liebster Award. It certainly made my day receiving it from someone whose blog I enjoy so much.
So here are my answers......
1.My favourite Christmas song is 'Driving Home for Christmas' by Chris Rea. You can listen to it here
2.There are so many places I love to travel to...everywhere in France, Hong Kong and we return regularly to Dubai as it seems to have changed every time we visit (which keeps us interested) but it's difficult to choose an absolute favourite. I love so many places for different reasons.
3. The one place I would love to visit is The Taj Mahal, India but there are many other places still on my list!
4.Perfect bliss for me is.....just relaxing and having nothing at all to worry about...
5.My passions are Travel and all things French (that was an easy queston!)I started to learn French when I was seven at school, spent some of my holidays at my penfriend's, lived near Bordeaux for a year when I was twenty....and I was hooked on France for ever! In more recent years I've tried to see the rest of the world.....
6.One trait I admire in a person is kindness.
7.One trait I dislike is dishonesty and negativity (oops!-that's two!)
8. My fashion style........classic neutrals....with a modern twist ....often updated with accessories ..... a mix of designer and high street.... hopefully with a touch of bobochic (see the definition at the top right of the blog!)
9.My heritage....English. My grandparents and great-grandparents were English but I would love to trace my family tree further back....there are suggestions that my Mum's side was Scottish.
10. One thing I would love to learn is how to make perfect macarons.
11. My advice to new bloggers is to keep going....at first you wonder if anyone is reading and if anyone will ever leave a comment....connect with other bloggers by being genuinely interested in what they have to say.
My nominations are.........
Congratulations to all the nominees!
Please pop over to these lovely blogs
(some of which I've only recently discovered!)
I have just six questions for them........
1.Which films have you watched more than once? (I'm curious because the only film I've watched a few times is Bridget Jones's Diary - I don't usually like to watch something again)
2.What is your perfect meal?
3.Which place in the world would you most like to visit?
4.Which foreign languages do you speak?
5.What's your perfect holiday?
6.Which person do you admire the most?
OMG those cupcakes look simply delicious!! And teh place is beautiful too!! Congrats for the award!!

ffff...cupcakes :)
ReplyDeleteFirst, Félicitations, for another Liebster Award, miss b. It was fun reading your answers to the questions. I always suspected you were a francophile at heart-- now I know why :-) As for these cupcakes, I will be honest with you. I am not a cupcake (or a macaron) fan. "[I am] Plus salée que sucrée," you might say. It was still interesting to see how much work goes into the cupcakes you found at the Bloomsbury Boutique Café... Creative names, and pretty designs. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteMerci, Véronique! There is no doubt at all that I'm 'Plus sucrée que salée!' I too was impressed with the creative names.
DeleteThat cupcake place looks wonderful, both the cupcakes and the interior!
ReplyDeleteI would love one now with a cup of tea in front of the fire but I would swap for the sun of dubai

Those cupcakes really look to die for, especially the cookies & cream one seemed to speak to me and said "eat me. Now!".
