Each year we have a special family treat to celebrate New Year's Eve and for 2011 it was an international buffet with live cooking stations at the Mazina restaurant in a very chic and stylish hotel - The Address, Dubai Marina.
I love these huge candles! |
We feasted on all our favourites - sushi, smoked trout, duck pancakes, turkey with chestnuts............ and the never-ending dessert buffet complete with an amazing croquembouche ......
Even the party hats were stylish - top hats for the men and feathered hairbands for the ladies!
My dream tree - made of chocolates of course! |
It's always difficult to resist a chocolate fountain! |
With half an hour to spare before midnight, we headed upstairs to join the party at Shades the outdoor lounge and bar where the infinity pool had been filled with floating candles - the perfect magical setting for the countdown to begin!
Happy New Year to you all! |
