There's something about Halloween which encourages us to be creative...... decorations for the home, imaginative cake designs, table settings and party games.
I've stumbled across some very stylish pumpkin ideas which I thought you might like.......Traditional black and orange is always a favourite and this pumpkin covered in black lace from Jess at Red Rose Alley really would make a very stylish centrepiece......

If only I had the patience (and skill!) to have a go at making one of these lace designs.........

I think I could maybe just manage one of these simpler black and white designs........

I spotted these French 'gourmet pumpkins' in my local Booth's supermarket today....Musquée de Provence......
This year we won't be at home for Halloween so no party or elaborate decorations but I'm sure I will bring out my favourite ceramic pumpkin which we brought back from France....... I mentioned it in this post here
One of the most stylish and elegant Halloween table displays I have ever seen is this one from Glorious Treats......

You can see more pictures in my post from last year here and on the wonderful Glorious Treats blog here (including all the recipes)
P.S. I couldn't resist buying Count Nibblia (milk chocolate with nibbly crushed pancake pieces) from Hotel Chocolat at the weekend.....
Happy Halloween!

Those pumpkins are the chicest pumpkins I have ever seen! I love the ones in the first photo :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween Miss B! I took the easy route this year, and only did a Fall/Autumn scene for the front of my home. HAHAHA Last year, I used glitter and made those witch feet on my pumpkins. HAHAHA It's WORK!!! Every year is just not the same. I REALLY love the lace pumpkins! I need to try that one year. And I am loving the white and black combinations too! Both for the pumpkin stencils and FOOD! I think that looks so good! Very unique. Thanks for sharing these ideas and ummmm I wish I had a Count Nibblia right now! HAHAHAHA I think that is too cute! Was he YUMMY?

Oh, I love this post and all the festive Halloween pumpkin ideas. Yes, it is o.k. that you show our lacy pumpkin, and we are so honored that you did. I think that will make Jess very happy. She is so patient with arts and crafts projects. You know, I really like the white pumpkins with the black writing on them, and the Halloween table display.
ReplyDeleteThank you showing Jess' elegant pumpkin. I want to do one of those for my own.

I love the black and white painted ones but it will be orange ones for us again this year and a spot of carving with my 50p Sainsburys pumpkin carving kit ... like it has been for the last 4 years since Ben has been big enough to enjoy Halloween. Last year, I made one of the pigs from Angry Birds. This year ... I haven't decided yet. We shall see.
ReplyDeleteThose are amazing. I thought I was crafty for spray painting a few lol...these are beyond creative!

I love them all but the lace one is particularly
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely ideas. Unfortunately, Halloween is not a big thing here in Italy or Turkey, so I miss all these decoration opportunities. But love watching all the inspiration on the blogs : ) Happy Halloween : )
ReplyDeleteI definitely prefer the lovely first three decorative ideas over the usual pumpkins I've seen...now if only we had Halloween here I could make a lace one of my own
ReplyDeleteI've never seen such stylish pumpkins before. Thanks for introducing them to us. Wishing you a happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteWow! Gorgeous selection of pumpkins. Halloween doesn't get celebrated that much here in Australia. If it did I would be try my hand at re creating the Country Living pumpkins or the black lace one. Not to mention all of those yummy things from Glorious Treats. X Rigel
ReplyDeleteThis is great inspiration and I've always wanted to paint a pumpkin or doing something a little more unusual that just carve it. I love the lace overlay!
ReplyDeleteSuch creative pumpkin creations for Halloween. Have a fun Halloween!
ReplyDeletereally creative decorations, I love them. I may do one for myself this years, and the sweets table looks great!

This decorations are incredible - I especially love the black and white, such an interesting variation on the usual colour theme! I haven't thought much about Halloween this year, living in a country where it isn't celebrated, but as fate would have it, I've read so many great Halloween posts lately, this one included, I'm starting to think seriously about getting some decorations. Thanks for the inspiration :)

LOVE this Halloween post, darling Miss B! All of the pumpkins are so pretty, and I'm with you the black and white ones look like they would be gorgeous and probably even more fun, as they don't require any cutting! I love this time of year! I understand we're going to have between 200-400 kids at our door in our new neighborhood! Thanks for stopping by this week and your sweet compliments ... and have a great weekend! xoSandy
